Little Free Library

Enjoy a good read!  Grab a book from Anoka's Waste Reduction & Recycling Board's Little Free Library! It's located behind Anoka City Hall along the Rum River trail.  Thank you for sharing and reusing!

Waterfowl for Warriors Fundraiser

Anoka's Waterfowl for Warriors (WFW) fundraiser is "thirsty" for aluminum beverage cans all year long! Profits from the recycling of the cans helps with supplies for the fall WFW hunting program.  The program is a thank you to local veterans for their service. They are treated to a morning waterfowl hunt and a delicious lunch.  

Please only deposit aluminum cans in the trailers, no plastic bottles or plastic bags. 

Drop-off Locations:  Gray Ghost Fields parking lot (west of the Anoka Ice Arena, east of the Anoka windmill, and north of Castle Field). 
Better Values Liquor Store at 847 East River Road- in the west part of the parking lot.

Donate Gently-Used Shoes

Anoka's Waste Reduction & Recycling Board continues to "pair" with Peterson Shoes of Anoka to collect gently used shoes in support of Soles4Souls.  

Please bring gently used shoes to Peterson Shoes (209 E Main St) during regular business hours. There is a collection box available.  The weight of the shoes donated is applied towards the city's recycling tonnage goal.

Hey, while you're there, why not try on some new shoes for spring and support Peterson Shoes, too - a great partner and small business!  Thank you!
