In 2023, the City of Anoka held informational neighborhood meetings regarding the commercial site located in the northwest quadrant of Bunker Lake Boulevard (CSAH 116) and 7th Avenue (CSAH 7). Community feedback expressed strong support for a public road connection through the commercial site, that would maintain access to the adjacent neighborhoods. As traffic patterns may be affected by any new development, the city is proactively hosting a public engagement meeting and has launched an online questionnaire to gather additional feedback on the proposed road connection.
The City of Anoka is now seeking your input on this proposed road connection prior to development of the commercial property. Please refer to the conceptual road layout provided on the back of this letter. This new road connection may either be a public road connection as planned in 2023 or a ‘private’ connection involving a drive lane through the commercial site’s parking lot.
